Dr. Wim Develter, M.D.
Co-Founder
Dr. Develter is the co-founder of C-Path and a surgical pathologist. He attended the University of Leuven (Belgium) where he earned his medical degree in 2003 and received the title of certified Forensic pathologist in 2008 and surgical pathologist in 2015. His areas of expertise include oncopathology, digital pathology, Next Generation Sequencing and postmortem pathology. Dr. Develter previously worked as a Forensic pathologist and Belgian DVI pathologist.
Veterinary Pathologist
C-Path connects you to a highly experienced ACVP board-certified pathologist with more than 30 years of experience in different fields of veterinary/comparative pathology, particularly with focus on toxicologic pathology, animal models of human disease, neuropathology, pathology of transgenic animals, and molecular pathology. Our preclinical expert has published more than 70 scientific papers in multiple journals including Nature, Cell, and Acta Neuropathologica, co-authored 4 book chapters in the field of veterinary and comparative pathology. He is a world-class expert in drug safety and animal models of human disease. His experience is not limited to regular lab animal species such as rodents but also extends to companion and farm animals, avian species, and zebrafish.
